What's in the telc B2 exam?
- Leseverstehen (Reading)3 parts — match headlines to texts, multiple-choice on a longer article, and match ten situations to twelve adverts, over longer and denser texts than B1. Distractors are built from the same vocabulary, so match the idea, not the words.
- Sprachbausteine (Grammar & Vocabulary)2 parts, 20 gaps — Teil 1 is multiple-choice grammar (passive, Konjunktiv II, connectors, Genitiv prepositions); Teil 2 fills gaps from a fifteen-word bank. Tests B2 grammar and vocabulary in context.
- Hörverstehen (Listening)3 parts — an interview, short statements and a broadcast. At B2 the recordings play once only, so you can't wait for a second chance.
- Schreiben (Writing)One formal letter or email, with a choice between two tasks. You react to input and argue a position — graded on content, structure, register and accuracy.
