You need 60% overall to pass, and the written and oral exams are scored separately — you must reach the threshold in each. If you pass only one part you can retake just the other.
The written exam runs about 2.5 hours (reading and Sprachbausteine 90 minutes, listening ~30 minutes, writing 30 minutes). The oral exam is a separate ~15-minute paired session, usually on the same day.
Start with Leseverstehen and Sprachbausteine — they share one 90-minute block and carry a large share of the marks, so time management there matters most. Then add listening, and practise writing and speaking with feedback closer to the exam.
