Free telc A1 Mock Exam – Schreiben

The A1 Schreiben section (Start Deutsch 1) has two parts. In Teil 1 you read a short text about a friend and fill in five missing pieces of information on a form, such as a country, a date or a tick in the right box. In Teil 2 you write a short message of about 30 words, such as an email or a note, that covers three given points. Teil 1 is worth 5 points and Teil 2 is worth 10.

Below, the form in Teil 1 works like the real one: type or tick your answers, then check them. At A1 most points are lost on details, such as copying a name or number wrongly or writing the answer in the wrong field. Teil 2 is the task as it appears in the exam. Write your message covering all three points, with a greeting and a closing, then create a free account to have it scored. Goethe-Zertifikat A1 and telc Deutsch A1 are the same exam, so the practice fits both.
