Free telc A2 Mock Exam – Hören

The telc A2 Hören section has three parts and 15 tasks, and takes about 20 minutes. In Teil 1 you hear five messages on the phone and complete a short written note for each one. You write the missing detail yourself, usually a word, a number or a time, and you hear each message twice. In Teil 2 you hear five short items from the radio, such as the weather, traffic or an event, and choose a, b or c. These you hear only once, so read the question before each item. In Teil 3 you hear one conversation and match five people or things to the right letter from a list, with a worked example already filled in. Three of the options do not fit. You hear the conversation twice.

Below you can try one practice task for each part, with the audio in the exam format. Teil 1 is the part most learners find new at A2: nothing to tick, you write the answer. Keep it short, such as "Donnerstag" or "18:30". Spelling matters, but you do not need full sentences. In Teil 3, cross out each letter once you have used it.
